It is very difficult with this type of graphic representation of data to determine what happened overtime and to get a good understanding of what is happening to the system.

These three scenarios reflect the data in the histogram. They all have a pre-change average of 70 and a post change average of 30. However, as you examine the display of the outcome over time you will realize they tell very different stories.

In the blue chart you can see that the outcome hovered around 70 before the change and although there is forty point range the outcomes after the change hovered around 30. The change seems to have produced an improvement in the outcome.

In the green chart there is a progressive decrease of the value of the outcome that started before the implementation of the change. Although there seems to have been an improvement, it’s not due to the change implemented.

Finally, in the maroon chart there is an improvement after the change, but it seems to be short lived since, after the March measure, the outcome seems to worsen again.

Introduction

Diabetes in the region known as Bronx is a significant problem that needs to be addressed. To find adequate solutions to the problem, it is necessary to formulate research questions that will guide the prices of investigating the issue to find proper solutions that will improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Bronx (Gregg et al., 2018). This essay outlines the research questions that will be used in investigation research that aims to deduce the causes of the prevalence of Diabetes in Bronx. It identifies the variables that the dependent and independent variables that the Study will compare and constructs a hypothesis that will be tested in the Study. It also examines why the variables are significant, their relationship, and how they will help in data analysis.

Research Questions

The research questions that will be used during the investigative research on the prevalence of diabetes in the people of Bronx are:

1. To what extent does the ethnicity of the people of Bronx impact their vulnerability to diabetes?

2. Is the social-economic status of the people of Bronx a contributing factor to their developing diabetes?

Variables in the Research Questions

The research questions are each made up of two variables: the dependent and independent variables. The independent variable is the manipulated parameter during an investigative study (de Lima Taga & Singer, 2018). On the other hand, the dependent variable is the element that undergoes alterations when the independent variable is manipulated to elicit varying outcomes. In the first research question, the dependent variable is independent variable is the ethnicity of the people of Bronx, while the dependent variable is their susceptibility to diabetes. Consequently, in the second research question, the independent variable is the socio-economic status of the people of Bronx, while the dependent factor is the development of diabetes.

The hypothesis of the Study

A review of literary materials that explore the prevalence of diabetes in Bronx shows a significant relationship between the socio-economic status of the people of the region, their ethnicity, and their susceptibility to diabetes. Therefore, this considerable interconnection between these three phenomena precipitates a hypothesis that: the socio-economic status and the ethnic inclination of the people of Bronx determine their susceptibility to diabetes.

Reasons for Picking the Research Question and the Variables

The reason for selecting the identified questions for the Study is that they are descriptive questions. Descriptive questions play a significant role in quantitative Study because they help understand the reason behind an occurrence (Kunißen, 2019) (. It aids in compiling factual data that explain the reasons behind the actions noted in society. For example, statistics indicate that the socio-economic status and the ethnicity of the people of Bronx are significant aspects that determine their susceptibility to diabetes. It helps in unearthing meaningful content about an issue, such as how one factor impacts another or the reasons for the affectations (Kunißen, 019). Therefore, the study will be essential in compiling content that confirms that the two elements are the major causes of the ailment, or the data will prove that a relationship does not exist between the socio-economic status or the ethnicity of the people of the region and the possibility of their developing the ailment.

The reason for choosing the variables as the independent and dependent parameters that should be gauged during the Study is that many people in Bronx who have diabetes come from a poor socio-economic background. Subsequently, the condition is more prevalent in some communities than others (Gregg et al., 2018). The disproportionate prevalence of the condition in these two groups of individuals precipitated the need to examine whether these two variables impact the vulnerability of individuals to the disease. The research findings will determine the measures that can be instigated to reduce the susceptibility of these groups to diabetes hence lowering its prevalence in the region.

There is a significant relationship between the variables incorporated in the research study. The connection is that both variables are factors that increase the prevalence of individuals to diabetes. The two variables will be used during data analysis by determining the relationship between the two variables (Kunißen, 2019). The relationship between the two aspects is computed using factors such as the linear regression model, which examines how the changes in the dependent variables impact the independent variable.

The possible results of the study are that the socio-economic status and ethnicity of the people of Bronx are significant determinants of whether they are affected by the ailment. These results will prove that formulated hypothesis is true. It implies that ethnicity and socio-economic factors are substantial factors that should be addressed when seeking solutions for the problem of diabetes in Bronx (Kunißen, 2019). Therefore, when looking for answers to the problem, it is significant to determine how to address these two signicant issues to lower the prevalence of diabetes in the region.

Conclusion

Formulating a significant question is a considerable process that preceded investigation research. It is essential in determining the research design that should be adopted and the type of data compiled during the process. The research question should also contain two variables that explain how or why one parameter impacts the other. The process ensures that researchers use descriptive inquiry systems that help compile meaningful content that helps determine vital trends in the data patterns. The hypothesis is also a significant aspect of the Study. It helps determine elements that are significant to the Study, such as what the research question is suitable and the expected findings after the study.
